It is the modern re-imagining of the classic and colorful novel of “Alice in Wonderland”, this time, set in the concrete jungle of New York City and features a very modern and settled Alice, except that she is in the brink of being jobless and being alone.

After a series of workshops, readings and premieres outside of New York City, “Wonderland” is finally set to make a splash this spring on Broadway.

Featuring compositions from Frank Wildhorn and Jack Murphy and a story written by Murphy and Gregory Boyd, the musical will bring back all the original characters from the original story, from Alice, to the Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit, the Caterpillar, to Lewis Carroll and a whole lot more. Janet Dacal will be portraying the role of Alice.

The musical will open at the Marquis Theatre on April 17, 2011 with preview performances starting on March 21, 2011.
